(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Herbert R. Hynson, Jr., United States Navy, was awarded a Gold Star in lieu of a Second Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving with Attack Squadron ONE HUNDRED FIFTEEN (VA-115), in action against enemy aggressor forces in Korea on 10 April 1952.
