(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Commander Thomas S. Chuhak, United States Navy, was awarded a Gold Star in lieu of a Second Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving with Fighter Squadron SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE (VF-721), in action against enemy aggressor forces in Korea on 31 July 1951.
