(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Commander (MC) Richard Lawrence, Jr., United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit with Combat “V” for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States while serving as a Medical Officer with the FIRST Marine Division in Korea, from 20 September 1951 to 20 August 1952. (Commander Lawrence is authorized to wear the Combat “V”.)
