(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Seaman Robert Dietlin, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism at the risk of life not involving conflict with an armed enemy in rescuing a fifteen-year old boy from drowning at Sandy Beach, Koko Head, Oahu, Hawaii, on the afternoon of 28 October 1956.
