(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Aviation Machinist’s Mate Third Class Albert Joseph Davis, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism at the risk of life not involving conflict with an armed enemy in assisting in the rescue of a drowning shipmate, while serving on board the U.S.S. LANGLEY (CV-1), in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, on 5 April 1931.
