(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Aviation Radioman Third Class Francis J. Dunlevy, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Second Radioman of a patrol bomber plane in Patrol Bomber Squadron TWO HUNDRED SIXTEEN (VPB-216), during operations against enemy Japanese forces in the Pacific War Area from 31 August to 8 October 1944.
