(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Charles A. Hooper, United States Navy, was awarded a Gold Star in lieu of a Second Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving as Pilot of a Photographic Reconnaissance Plane attached to U.S.S. BOXER (CVA-21), during operations in Korea from 10 to 14 April 1951.
