(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain Warner Ryerson Edsall, United States Navy, was awarded a Gold Star in lieu of a Second Award of the Legion of Merit with Combat “V” (Posthumously) for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Commanding Officer of U.S.S. MISSOURI (BB-63) and Commander Task Group 70.1 in Korea, from 10 October 1952 to 26 March 1953. (Captain Edsall is authorized the Combat “V”.)
