(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Commander (MSC) Frederick J. Lewis, Jr., United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Officer in Charge, Body Armor and Wounds Ballistics Section, Naval Medical Field Research Laboratory, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, from 17 December 1948 to 30 June 1952; and member of the Joint Army-Navy Armor Group in Korea from 14 June to 13 October 1951.
