(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain Walter Dan Coleman, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Chief of Staff Officer on the staff of Commander Service Squadron THREE engaged in support of U.S. Naval vessels operating against enemy forces in the Korean area from 15 July 1950 to 28 February 1951.
