Bobby Joe Keesee was a Korean War veteran turned criminal, who stole an aircraft in Thailand and was fleeing from authorities when he ran out of fuel and landed on a North Vietnamese beach on September 18, 1970. He was captured and held until his release on March 14, 1973. He is now in a Mexico prison for an assassination attempt against the President of Mexico.
