Thomas E. Kalil, a United States Civilian, was captured in South Vietnam on February 8, 1969, and held as a Prisoner of War until his death in captivity in June 1969.
(NOTE: As a civilian he is NOT authorized the POW Medal, but is listed by the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office as a Vietnam War POW.)
