(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Commander James Lloyd Griffin, United States Navy, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Pilot in Reconnaissance Attack (Heavy) Squadron 13 (RVAH-13), embarked in U.S.S. KITTY HAWK (CVW-11), in action over Southeast Asia in 1967. His gallant and untiring devotion to duty was at all times in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
