Charles Dusing was interned as a Prisoner of War in South Vietnam after he was captured along with fellow Airmen Samuel Adams and Jasper Page near Vung Tau, South Vietnam, on October 31, 1965. Two days after their capture Adams and Page jumped their guards in an escape attempt during which Page was successful in eventually reaching American forces and during which Adams is believed to have died. Charles Dusing died in captivity and was listed as Missing in Action. His remains have not been recovered.
