    The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Bronze Star Medal to Captain Michael C. Disalvo, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious service in a combat zone with exposure to risk of hostile action during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM from 16 September 2007 to 15 May 2008. His outstanding duty during combat operations in Iraq contributed to the overwhelming success of the Command’s mission. His actions are in keeping with the finest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon him, Multi-National Corps-Iraq, and the United States Army.

    The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Army Commendation Medal to Staff Sergeant Michael C. Disalvo, United States Army, for outstanding performance as a Psychological Operations Team Chief during Joint Readiness Training Center 98-08, from 6 August 1997 to 27 June 1998. His leadership resulted in a complete integration with the Battalion’s Tactical Operations. His effective use of Bradley sounds prevented the Battalion Headquarters from being attacked. His gain of local support resulted in no civilian interference with any operation. His actions reflect great credit to him, his unit, the 7th Psychological Operations Group and the United States Army.

    The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal to First Lieutenant Michael C. Disalvo, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious achievement while assigned as the Commander of a Tactical Psychological Operations Detachment in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM from 23 March to 23 July 2003. First Lieutenant Disalvo led his detachment for two hundred twenty missions in combat operations with no losses. While conducting routine operations, he detachment seized enemy prisoners and approximately fifty enemy weapons. First Lieutenant Disalvo’s dedication and technical expertise reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.
