The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal to Brigadier General Linscott Alden Hall (ASN: 0-20681), United States Air Force, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished services to the Government of the United States, in a duty of great responsibility. General Hall distinguished himself as Chief, Air Force Technical Applications Center, and as Commander, 1035th United States Air Force Field Activities Group, from 10 August 1966 to 30 April 1970. In these important assignments, General Hall’s superior leadership, professional knowledge and initiative resulted in the units under his command reaching new heights in the accomplishment of a scientific mission of vital importance to the national defense effort. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Hall culminates a long and distinguished career in the service of his country, and reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
