Sipe (ASN: 34212336), United States Army, for gallantry in action and disregard for personal safety while serving with a Field Artillery element of the 9th Infantry Division, on 21 December 1944, during operations in Germany. Technician Fifth Grade Sipe’s actions reflects highest credit upon himself and the armed forces of the United States.
