The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal to Brigadier General Jon Anzuena Reynolds, United States Air Force, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States. General Reynolds distinguished himself as the Military Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, the Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia, from 27 January 1988 to 28 August 1989. During this period, the forceful leadership, tireless effort, outstanding dedication of General Reynolds were instrumental in furthering the effectiveness of Air Force relations with the Office of the President, members of Congress, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. General Reynolds’ exceptional talents in corporate management, knowledge of the Air Force mission and sensitive insight in international politico-military affairs have been instrumental in assisting the Secretary of the Air Force in structuring the Air Force that will lead us into the next century. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Reynolds reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
