In these important assignments, the forceful leadership and outstanding and dedicated efforts of General Davis were a most significant contribution to the overall coordination and effectiveness of Allied air power doctrine and planning for Allied Command Europe, and to the successful operation of that vital Allied Forces Central Europe Headquarters.
