His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.

When hostile forces threatened his company’s flank, Technical Sergeant Streczyk courageously exposed himself to intense enemy fire and utilized antitank grenades to silence two enemy guns, thereby enabling his unit to continue its advance. His dauntless courage and unhesitating action merit the highest praise and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.

His exhibition of marked aggressiveness and splendid initiative substantially aided his company’s continued advance.
