The President of the United States of America takes pride in presenting the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V” (Posthumously) to Lance Corporal Bryce Leroy Kindrick, United States Marine Corps, for meritorious service in connection with military operations against the enemy in the Republic of Vietnam while serving as a Squad Leader with Company C, First Battalion, First Marines, FIRST Marine Division, from 15 January to 28 September 1970. Throughout this period, Lance Corporal Kindrick performed his duties in an exemplary and highly professional manner. Displaying outstanding leadership, he diligently trained his men and quickly molded them into a cohesive and aggressive fighting team fully capable of responding to any tactical situation. Participating in numerous patrols and ambushes, he repeatedly distinguished himself by his courage and composure under fire while moving to dangerously exposed vantage points to observe enemy activities and control the fire and maneuver of his men. Working tirelessly, he expeditiously accomplished all assigned tasks and consistently provided his unit with outstanding support. Lance Corporal Kindrick’s professionalism, superb fighting spirit and steadfast devotion to duty contributed significantly to the accomplishment of his unit’s mission and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and of the United States Naval Service.
