The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain Robert Henry Anderson (MCSN: 0-14778), United States Marine Corps, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight in connection with military operations against the enemy in the Ryukyu Islands during the period 26 May to 23 July 1945. Captain Anderson participated in three strikes and two combat air patrols, completing his twentieth mission against the enemy.
