Navy Federal Credit Union

Wilbur Bestwick enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1934. On May 23, 1957 he became the FIRST Sergeant Major of the United States Marine Corps when that office was established, and held that post until he retired from active duty on September 1, 1959. His personal decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat “V” for service in the Korean War.
