The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Colonel of Infantry Jacques F. Reboul, French Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. As Chief of the Franco-American Bureau of the Army General Staff, Colonel Reboul performed eminent and important services to the U.S. Army in deciding many essential questions in our relations with the French. That he acted with exceptional success is proven by the cordial relations which were at all times maintained.
