The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Captain of Infantry Maurice Pesson-Didion, French Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. As a Member of the French Mission in Paris, Captain Pesson-Didion gave invaluable aid and assistance to the American authorities on numerous occasions when it was necessary to obtain material quickly in order to further the operations of the American Army. At all times he showed earnest cooperation with all the American authorities in all the activities in which he was associated with them.
