The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Lieutenant Colonel of Artillery Jules E. E. Pagezy, French Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. By his efforts in devising and developing the French system of fire control for anti-aircraft artillery, adopted by our armies, and in Command of the French Officers’ Anti-Aircraft Artillery School at Arnouville les Genesse, Lieutenant Colonel Pagzey rendered most valuable service to the American Expeditionary Forces.
