The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Colonel Harry Maud, Royal British Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. Serving with the Forage and Supplies, British Expeditionary Forces, Colonel Maud gave most valuable assistance to the American Expeditionary Forces in the procurement of necessary supplies for our troops. He rendered tactful and most willing service, affording whole-hearted cooperation in his important duties.
