The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Lieutenant Colonel of Infantry Henri A. Guillon, French Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. As Chief of the French Mission at Headquarters, Services of Supply, American Expeditionary Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Guillon was zealous, tactful, and energetic in the performance of his exacting duties. At all times he displayed tact and exceptional ability. His loyal cooperation proved of great assistance to the American Expeditionary Forces.
