The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Lieutenant General Honore Drubbel, Belgian Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. In Command of the 2d Belgian Army Division, General Drubbel showed eminent qualities of leadership, at all times using his genius for military tactics to the best advantage in the operations against the enemy. His brilliant achievements had an important bearing upon the successful conduct of the war.
