The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Major of Artillery Marie C. A. G. De St. Quentin, French Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. Major De St. Quentin took upon his own shoulders the complete reorganization of the French Delivery Services that the American Air Service might be supplied in a time of great need with airplanes, motors, and a large number of spare parts. His foresight was marked and he acted at all times with keen judgment and energy, rendering most valuable services to the American Expeditionary Forces.
