The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Major General Louis M. G. D’Armau de Pouydraguin, French Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. General D’Armau de Pouydraguin Commanded with distinction the 67th Chasseurs Division, with which a large number of American troops had the honor of serving. He continually showed every consideration for the Americans in his command, and by his skill in directing their training for effective combat he rendered services of the highest value to the American Expeditionary Forces.
