The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Lieutenant Colonel of Infantry Louis Clemenson, French Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. As Regulating Commissioner at Is-sur-Tille, Lieutenant Colonel Clemenson rendered invaluable assistance in the organization and operation of the American Regulating Station and Depots at that point. His hearty cooperation and genius for organization aided materially in the achievement of most satisfactory results and the development of an efficient service.
