The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Major of Air Service A. T. Caquot, French Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. As Chief of the Technical Section of French Aeronautics, Major Caquot displayed technical aviation knowledge of high order, and performed his exacting duties with untiring energy and devotion. He rendered very valuable services to the American Expeditionary Forces, gladly assisting us at all times in the solution of perplexing problems.
