The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Brevet Major of Infantry Henri A. Breucq, French Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. As a Member of the Franco-American Bureau, Army General Staff, by his sound judgment, tact, and keen interest in the American Army, Major Breucq has handled many delicate problems affecting the American Expeditionary Forces with marked ability and in a most satisfactory manner. The services he has given us have been of great value.
