The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Colonel (Quartermaster Corps) Moses Gray Zalinski, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished services to the Government of the United States, in a duty of great responsibility during World War I. As Quartermaster, Base Section No. 2, Bordeaux, a position of great responsibility, due to his long quartermaster experience, marked ability, and knowledge of the methods and standards of supply, Colonel Zalinski performed the numerous duties of his important office with great success. He has rendered service of much value to the United States.
