Bowe Bergdahl was held as a Prisoner of War for nearly five years after he deserted his post in Afghanistan, and was the longest-held Prisoner of War in the Wars on Terrorism. Ultimately he plead guilty to deserting his post in the events that led to his capture and was dishonorably discharged.
