The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Second Lieutenant (Cavalry) Ronald E. Fisher, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism while serving with 14th Cavalry, in action at Peruka Utig’s Cotta, Philippine Islands, 3 May 1905. In a hand-to-hand fight in a trench in the jungle, Lieutenant Fisher killed three Moros and cleared the trench.
