During an enemy bombardment Technician Fifth Grade Tarini saw a wounded soldier exposed to enemy fire and flung himself over the soldierÕs body, shielding him with his own, and then administered first aid. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Technician Fifth Grade Tarini, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
