The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V” to Private First Class Bradford B. Antone, United States Army, for heroism in connection with military operations against a hostile force while serving with Batter A, 2d Battalion, 12th Artillery Regiment, in the Republic of Vietnam. On 14 December 1969, he astutely surmounted extremely adverse conditions to obtain superior results. While participating in firing of counter mortar fires, despite the fact that his own base was under enemy attack, he disregarded his own safety to accomplish the mission. He continued to do so until wounded by enemy fire. His personal bravery and devotion to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.
