Michael Miller graduated from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland, Class of 1974 and two years later was designted a Naval Aviator. Commander U.S.S. John F. Kennedy (CV-67), U.S.S. Coronado (AGF-11), Carrier Strike Group Seven/Ronald Reagan Strike Group; directed White House Military Office. From 2010 to 2014 he served as the 61st Superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy, and retired in 2015 as a U.S. Navy Vice Admiral.
