Charles Moore graduated from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland, Class of 1968. He served as Commander of the U.S. Naval Forces, Central Command, Commander of the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, and Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, Fleet Readiness and Logistics. In 2003 he was appointed the 58th Superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy. Until his retirement as a Vice Admiral in 2004, the was the U.S. Naval Aviation’s Gray Eagle.
