(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to First Lieutenant (Field Artillery) Alfred W. Johnson, United States Army, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving with the Division Artillery, 30th Infantry Division, in action in the European Theater of Operations in 1944 and 1945.His outstanding courage and dedication to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.
