The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Captain (AC Stanley G. Salisbury (ASN: 0-408852), United States Army Air Forces, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight in the Southwest Pacific Theater of Operations from 16 March 1942 to 10 March 1943. Captaiin Salisbury took part in more than tw hundred hours of long-range bombing missions over territory that was continually patrolled by enemy fighter aircraft. These operations included attacks against enemy installations, shipping, and supply bases, and aided considerab ly in the recent successes in this theater. His outstanding courage and dedication to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army Air Forces.
