(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pride in presenting the Silver Star (Army Award) (Posthumously) to Airman First Class Rollo D. Hibbs (AFSN: AF-16310347), United States Air Force, for gallantry in action against the enemy while serving as a Radio Mechanic Detachment A, 6132d Tactical Air Control Group, FIFTH Air Force, in operations while on an air strike mission with a radio jeep in Korea on 28 November 1950. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Airman First Class Hibbs, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
