Navy Federal Credit Union

A veteran of three wars, Silas Copeland served in the last few months of World War II with the 2d Armored Division, and in the Korean War with the 1st Cavalry Division. He subsequently also served a tour of duty in Vietnam in 1969. He served from 1970 to 1973 as the 3d Sergeant Major of the Army. He retired in 1973, and died on December 4, 2001. He is buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
