(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: First Lieutenant (Infantry) James Thomas Hill, United States Army, was awarded a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy in connection with military operations involving conflict with an armed hostile force in the Republic of Vietnam, while serving as a platoon leader and subsequently as Company Commanding Officer in the 2d Battalion, 502d Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Airmobile).
