George Bush graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1945. He retired in 1973 as a U.S. Army Major General. He had 3 sons who graduated from West Point: Captain James E. Bush, class of 1943 was killed in action in China in 1944. Lieutenant Colonel Louis S. Bush, class of 1949 was wounded in Korea in 1950 and died in 2011. Major General George M. Bush, class of 1945, served in the Army of Occupation in Germany, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
