The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Colonel (Medical Corps) Aniello F. Mastellone, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from September 1956 to October 1965. [This award supersedes award of the Army Commendation Medal to Colonel Mastellone for meritorious service from 14 July 1960 to 29 June 1964, as announced in General Orders Number 34, Headquarters, United States Army Tripler General Hospital, dated 9 September 1964.]
