The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Lieutenant Colonel (Army Nurse Corps) Mary C. Jordan, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from March 1957 to August 1965. [This award supersedes award of the Army Commendation Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster) to Colonel Jordan for meritorious service during the period 17 September 1960 to 10 October 1961 as announced in General Orders Number 101, Headquarters, 7th Logistical Command (C), dated 9 October 1961.]
