The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Private Walter E. Harrison (ASN: 42101450), United States Army, for heroism not involving actual conflict with the enemy on 4 March 45 in Germany. Although wounded in the neck and both legs by exploding ammunition Private Harrison continued at his task until all military equipment was safely outside, when he then had to be assisted out by his comrades.
